Eric Newmark’s client was charged with misdemeanor assault from an incident stemming from an alleged fight in a parking lot. Newmark’s client refused all offers for settlement and, on the eve of trial, the state dismissed the charges. Newmark’s client faced a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail.
